Fran Kearney

Live Music Business

Francis combines legal expertise with firsthand music industry experience as a member of Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. He has advised on recording, publishing, and management contracts while touring internationally and recording three albums. At Industri, he helps students navigate music law, ensuring they understand contracts and rights management. Outside work, he enjoys making music, swimming, and creating card games.

Claire Bredenoord

Claire is an Education, Operations and Partnerships all rounder here at Industri. She works on educational design with our partners and lecturers to bring learning opportunities to the students. She has a background in socially engaged arts practice and publishing, most often working across disciplines to produce multimodal projects. She aims to continue developing her diverse skill set and passion for relational community practice to contribute to First Nations peoples’ fight for justice. Claire is passionate about challenging conventions of higher education through authentic learning environments, and justice for First Nations peoples. She loves having a boogie at gigs of all genres and sizes.

Adrian Leighton

Adrian currently leads Touring and Venue Programming at Calibre Music Management, which books venues and manages artists such as Grammy-nominated producer for Troye Sivan, Styalz Fuego, and alongside EMI-signed band, Telenova. Adrian brings extensive industry experience to our students.

His clients include Meta/Quest TV, Momentum Pictures, the United Nations, Melbourne Theatre Company, ABC Radio National, Phoria, and Tim Minchin.

Ben Wiesner

Ben has an extensive background in tertiary-level music education, having led and managed large-scale programs from Certificate 3 to Masters, covering all areas of the music industry. Ben also performs regularly as a drummer and has toured and recorded with many great Australian artists, including Frente, The Audreys, RockWiz and Missy Higgins. Ben's industry experience and educational leadership combine to ensure the programs he leads are industry-relevant and innovative and, most importantly, that they support students in finding viable careers.

Chelsea Wilson

Chelsea Wilson is a Melbourne-based musician, broadcaster, and producer, known for her acclaimed album Chasing Gold and performances at major festivals. She has led key music festivals, founded House of Valerie Joan, and advocates for the industry through grant assessments and artist management. Currently, she runs the Women of Soul Collective and produces the Control podcast.

Nam is a seasoned DJ based in Melbourne. He works for multi-faceted organisation, The Operatives, who promote shows like DJ Shadow and Flying Lotus, and co-founded Let Them Eat Cake festival.
